The Des Moines County Board of Supervisors voted to extend the closing deadline for property at 1804 Douglas Avenue after county staff reported a delay in obtaining new title abstracts. County staff said the new closing date is being targeted for Aug. 20 so title opinions can be completed and reviewed by the parties' attorneys.
"Looking at closing date of August 20 for both of those properties," a county staff member reported; the board moved and seconded the extension and recorded an affirmative vote. County staff said the extension does not require a separate resolution but the board opted to vote to document the action.
