PDC allows partial omission of spouse's private clients for Kirkland council candidate

PDC staff presented a request from Kenneth McKenzie for a partial reporting modification to omit disclosure of private clients of his spouse, Nicole McKenzie, a partner at Williams Kastner Gibbs, PLLC. Staff said the client list is confidential and that the candidate does not have direct access to it; the candidate agreed to recuse if a conflict arises.
A PDC presenter said the requested modification would exempt private clients who paid $12,000 or more during the reporting period while allowing disclosure of governmental clients already listed on the F‑1. Chair Leach found that McKenzie made the necessary showing for the candidate filing and granted the omission for the candidate filing; the relief would need to be re‑applied for if McKenzie were later elected to office.
