The Knox County Board of Commissioners approved payment of a vendor invoice for a 2027 Western Star vehicle for use by the county engineer. County Administrator Jason Booth presented the invoice from Stoop's Western Star Ohio and said the purchase is paid for by the county engineer's budget.
"...for the company engineer in the amount of $152,789," Booth said when presenting the invoice. A motion to approve the payment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners briefly discussed whether two vehicles were being obtained but agreed the invoice before the board was for a single unit that had been in procurement for about nine months.
The board did not provide additional procurement details or vehicle specifications in the meeting beyond the vendor name and invoice amount.
