Commissioners authorize county administrator to sign OWDA cooperative agreement for wastewater project

The Knox County Board of Commissioners approved a cooperative agreement related to a water/wastewater administrative building and authorized County Administrator Jason Booth to sign required documents on the board's behalf so the county can complete paperwork for the Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA).
Booth told commissioners the paperwork was submitted to him for signature because the board had previously authorized county staff to handle matters related to the project; "authorize me to sign it on your behalf, and then we will complete the necessary paperwork to to get to the OWDA," he said. The motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded and passed by voice vote.
The agreement references the county's water/wastewater administrative building and was presented as an administrative step to satisfy OWDA requirements; Booth said additional documentation (including assigning a resolution number) would be completed after the board's authorization.
