Shenzhen asks for deed to 0.4-acre county lot; commissioners to survey and prepare deed

Kyle Zimmerman, representing the Shenzhen City Council, asked the commission to transfer ownership of a 0.4-acre parcel on the north edge of Shenzhen for municipal use and said the city would likely pay for a survey. "We've owned it since the 1940s," Zimmerman said while asking the county to deed the lot to the city.
County counsel said statutes allow the county to dispose of property and recommended deeding the parcel to the city while reserving a reversion right if it ceases to be used for municipal purposes. Commissioners directed staff to obtain a legal description, have the parcel surveyed and return a deed for formal approval at a future agenda item.
