Commission recommends annexed Louisa Grama subdivision be designated low-density and rezoned to PUD

City staff presented a follow-up to a staff-initiated annexation for the Louisa Grama subdivision (approximately 30 acres, 75 single-family lots). John Crews said the parcel has been platted and built out and currently receives central water and wastewater service; staff recommended changing the county designation (Lake County urban low) to the city's Low Density Residential future land use and transferring the county Planned Unit Development ordinance into the city's PUD to reflect existing entitlements.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing. After clarifying questions from commissioners, the commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of Ordinance 2026-019 (comprehensive plan amendment) and Ordinance 2026-020 (rezoning to Planned Unit Development).
