A representative identified as Aaron said the combined endowment and Cultivate Anamosa funds total about $400,000 and produce roughly $32,000 per year for grants. "With Cultivate Anamosa, we brought in about 15 new board members, younger people, kind of expanding our footprint," the speaker said. The group noted past grants for public safety equipment, hospital equipment, park amenities and trail connections, and said the funds could help partner on projects like the planned swimming pool equipment or trail amenities.
Council thanked the group and encouraged continued coordination; staff and councilors discussed ways the city and foundation can collaborate on grant projects and possible roles for city facilitation.
