The same report noted that junior fair livestock auction proceeds totaled $910,006 in 2026, up from $773,339 in 2025. The 'Feeding Our Neighbor' project used proceeds from 35 hogs to provide 16,534 meals. The commissioner said final numbers will be provided at a future meeting and that drone photos and overhead reports will accompany a fuller briefing.
Board members praised volunteer involvement and new sponsorship efforts; one commissioner said fair leadership sold more than $70,000 in advertising this year, a level the commissioner said had not been done previously.
