The board also approved Resolution No. 25-2026-27 for certain classified employees; staff explained the functions of the classified position could be reassigned to paraprofessionals to achieve budget savings. Both resolutions were moved and seconded by trustees and adopted by voice vote.
Board members confirmed the March 10 date was correctly listed in the awareness clause and directed staff to proceed with the notification process consistent with statute and collective-bargaining procedures. No layoffs were presented as immediate terminations—rather, the actions initiate formal notice consistent with the district’s budgeting and staffing decisions for next year.
