Administration outlines Stateline campus water, stormwater and water‑positive commitments

The statement said, "State Line will source 100% of its water from the town of Blanchard through project-funded capacity improvements," and described on-site treatment, permitted stormwater management designed to ensure post-development peak discharge rates do not exceed pre-development conditions, and rainwater-harvesting systems intended to supplement cooling water demand. The presentation said these infrastructure improvements would be funded by the projects and would impose "0 cost to the customers of the public water system."
The administration also noted Amazon's corporate target to be "water positive by 2030," and said Stacked and Amazon aim to be "good citizens and neighbors" and to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Commissioners acknowledged these claims but several said they could not independently verify developer statements because some materials shown at a private 'boot camp' were not sharable with the public.
