Summary
Residents described rapid, worsening flooding tied to a small-diameter culvert on Century Drive that they say creates a bottleneck and threatens property; council agreed to have Earthworks inspect the culvert and get cost estimates for repairs or upsizing.

Resident Kyle (607 South Street) told the council a culvert feeding the drainage system near his house is two feet smaller in diameter than the upstream pipe and is creating a retention pond that now reaches within 10 feet of his home.
"In 5 minutes, my backyard's flooded," Kyle said, describing how the culvert's deterioration and upstream field tiling have increased local runoff. Council members agreed to contact an Earthworks contractor (Scott) to evaluate the culvert and return with a site assessment and cost estimate for repairs or enlargement.
