Committee members and residents suggested small, targeted investments such as sidewalk capping near Lexus Park, culverts at narrow pedestrian pinch points and ditch improvements to improve safety for bicyclists and emergency vehicles. Speakers emphasized the fund's constraints and the need to match grants or use it to leverage larger capital projects: "...you find one grant, you find another grant, so it burns it down," (S1). The group noted that some maintenance items historically charged to the TBD may not meet state RCW standards for eligible uses and that prevailing wage, permitting and archaeological reviews can raise costs significantly.
No formal motion was recorded to allocate funds. The committee directed residents to gather project ideas and asked Chair (S2) to coordinate with John Scanlon and Public Works to produce cost examples so the community can prioritize requests.
