The Board of Supervisors adopted a proclamation recognizing Lorenzo Castro for his work managing the county's transfer stations and assisting the department through an operational transition. The proclamation, read aloud by a county official, praised Castro's leadership, day-to-day oversight and role in minimizing service disruptions during the transfer-station transition.
Castro thanked the board and said it was an honor to serve Siskiyou County. Department director Adam Filiponi and other officials highlighted Castro's hands-on leadership, mentorship of staff and positive public relations; the proclamation was adopted unanimously and the board planned a short photo session following the recognition.
