Board grants reciprocity to two plumbers seeking Escambia County licenses

Staff presented Winfield's application noting 5 years and two months working under a license holder with test scores of 75% (trade) and 78% (business and law). Winfield told the board he has worked extensively in Escambia County on commercial buildings, hotels and schools. For Devine, staff presented 11 years of experience, trade exam score of 77% and business-and-law score of 82%; Devine acknowledged a past criminal record and said he was seeking to start his own company. In both cases staff said reciprocity and disclosed prior history required board-level approval.
Board members moved and seconded approval motions and both reciprocity requests passed unanimously. The board did not attach additional conditions to either approval at the time of the vote.
