The Brown County Commission on Aug. 4 voted to approve a temporary alcoholic beverage license for the Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen to serve at the Brown County Fair grandstand during the Aug. 10–16 fair.
At the public hearing, the Clerk read the legal notice and application terms, including the permitted dates. As the Clerk stated during the reading, the application described a "temporary special event alcohol license effective August 10 through the 16th." No members of the public appeared in the chambers or online to register a complaint.
Commissioners moved and seconded the motion to approve the permit (motion by Weese; second by Gage) and carried it by voice vote. The Clerk had read the notice citing county code when announcing the hearing. The commission took no additional conditions or amendments on the application.
The permit covers alcohol service for events at the Brown County Fair grandstand. The commission did not record any public opposition during the hearing, and the motion passed by a standard voice vote.
