The Iroquois County Planning & Zoning Committee on Aug. 4 approved the appointment of Jerome Finley to replace a resigning Middlecourt township CBA member and designated Alicia Johnson as an alternate. Planning staff said Finley has been vetted, will serve through Dec. 2028 and is scheduled to participate in his first hearing on Aug. 25.
Jerome Finley (S7) introduced himself to the committee: "I'm Jerome... I grew up in a larger 2 different areas... I just wanna make sure everything is done correctly and properly for the city and county to work." Committee members asked no further questions and recorded affirmative votes to send the appointment to the full county board for final confirmation. Staff said Alicia Johnson will serve as the first alternate and staff will recruit an additional alternate as needed.
