She also said the district would repurpose undamaged Belgian blocks saved during demolition. The chair stated the change order would cost "$34,270, which is within the allowance."
The chair announced a tentative special meeting set for Aug. 24 to handle any last‑minute hiring or contracts. She also said, anecdotally, that in a previous job a FOIL request she filed took "close to 3 years," noting FOIL timelines can be protracted in some cases.
