Utilities Superintendent Tory Zuver recommended awarding the East Tank interior recoating project to Cunningham Sandblasting & Panning, the low responsive bidder at $227,000, noting JEO Consulting Group’s recommendation letter and vetting. "Low bid was Cunningham Sandblasting and Panning Company. They came in at 227,000," Zuver said.
Council asked about the contractor location and schedule; staff said the company is based in Joplin, Missouri, and that the work is weather permitting and likely to be scheduled as a spring project if interior access or conditions prevent fall work. Members said they were comfortable with JEO’s vetting and that the award follows the procurement recommendation.
