HCA: UMP Plus plans to end Dec. 31, 2025; HCA will default non‑respondents into UMP Classic

Lauren Johnston, UMP senior account manager, told the board the UMP Plus accountable care plans will end on Dec. 31, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM. HCA, Regence and ACP network partners will run a communications plan for enrolled subscribers, and HCA will update enrollment materials and plan comparisons ahead of open enrollment.
Johnston assured the board that members in an ongoing plan of care or with upcoming appointments will retain continuity of care so long as they remain within UMP; approved prior authorizations for services on or after Jan. 1, 2026 will be honored. HCA said it will default subscribers who do not select a new plan into UMP Classic, which staff described as the most comparable replacement but with a higher deductible and cost‑sharing for primary care visits.
Staff will complete contractual closeout activities with network partners and provide detailed communications to affected subscribers during the open‑enrollment window.
