District reports enrollment growth ahead of last year; 2,244 students fully approved for fall

Sheila, a district staff member, briefed the board on fall enrollment preparations and early numbers. "So right now we have, 2,656 families who have told us they want to re register. We have 277 new students for fall. As of right now, fully approved with CTRs, we have 2,244 that are ready to roll on September 4," she said, and noted the district's year-over-year delta shows roughly 280 more students than the same point last year.
Board members welcomed the update and asked staff to continue working with families to finalize choice-transfer paperwork. Administrators said growth is strongest in middle school (about 131 more students) and that continuous open enrollment throughout the year helps bring in additional students after the start date.
