The Community Relations Commission approved routine procedural items and reviewed several upcoming neighborhood events at its Aug. 4 meeting.
A commissioner moved and the commission approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the June 2, 2026 meeting. Later in the meeting the commission reviewed the monthly financial report, discussed upcoming Indigenous Peoples' Day expenses and approved the financial report by voice vote.
Chair reviewed a busy August calendar of outreach opportunities — the First Bridal table, Clover Creek neighborhood ice cream social, South Side block party, touch-a-truck downtown and other neighborhood picnics — and asked commissioners to volunteer for shifts. The commission assigned rough staffing roles for the First Bridal table and discussed distribution of neighborhood resource guides.
