Board OKs Parks sponsorship for Arts on the Mill Race Sept. 11–13

Staff said the applicant requested use of the Millrace Trail, Powerhouse Park and Middle Race Park, asked that Parks waive rental/attendance fees, and requested use of a Parks vehicle to transport materials. Kimberly (staff) read details from the written request distributed separately and confirmed the event’s day-one hours as 10 a.m.–4 p.m. She also noted the event would include the sale of alcohol but that the properties being used are not owned by the parks department, so previously adopted department alcohol guidelines would not apply.
A board member moved approval and the motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote. The board did not attach additional conditions in the recorded discussion; staff will coordinate event logistics and confirm any necessary permits or property-owner approvals.
