The Nottingham Select Board voted Aug. 3 to appoint Patrolman Tyler Olsh to the Nottingham Police Department, bringing the department to a full complement.
Chair Charlotte Fife announced the hire and said the officer will be sworn in the next day: "He will be officially sworn in after your appointment," she said, noting the ceremony was scheduled for noon at the police department. Members voted by voice to approve the appointment; the administrator confirmed she would provide paperwork and signatures in advance of the oath.
The board welcomed the new officer and noted the department had been participating in committee work related to police facilities; members said they appreciated filling the vacancy.
