After a motion and second, the council approved the resolution by voice vote with the effective date set for August 1, 2026.
Council members and the public discussed the effect of higher fees on builders and applicants and asked staff to consider fee‑waiver criteria for projects with demonstrated hardship. Staff said the change was intended to bring fees in line with cost recovery and that building‑permit revenue will be monitored as part of year‑end financial reporting.
The resolution passed; staff will publish the corrected version and implement the new fee schedule on the August 1 effective date.
