The EDC revisited a previously proposed downtown bike rack and agreed to gather information from state transportation officials before making a placement decision. Public works had objected to a sidewalk location because of winter plowing and ADA clearance; instead, committee members discussed siting the rack on a landscape island or in the park near the flagpole and cannon. Members identified the process for permission if the preferred site sits on state right-of-way: contact District 5 and a Concord property-management administrator, Eric Sargent, to determine whether the town needs formal permission or a right-to-use agreement. The group agreed not to vote at the meeting and to collect information first; S6 said they would send an email to the appropriate contacts and include the committee member maintaining the site in the communications.
