District launches K‑12 Launchpad and new K‑5 Canvas dashboard for families and students

Myron (speaker 7) described the K‑12 Launchpad as “a customizable landing page for students in K through 12” that centralizes course access, assignments, and live class sessions. He noted it “went live today for our school,” and staff said the tool gives students a snapshot of upcoming work, grades and quick links to join live classes. Staff also previewed a K‑5 Canvas dashboard designed to scaffold the Canvas experience for younger students, reintroducing a mascot and simplified navigation to make the site child‑friendly.
Presenters said they will share introductory videos with families and that five students have been placed in K‑12 internships and externships to support ongoing platform work. Trustees praised the rollout and asked staff to report back on family uptake and initial usage metrics.
