City plans accessible parking for Commons grand opening on Aug. 28, mayor tells advisory committee

Mayor Treba told the committee the Commons grand opening is scheduled for Aug. 28 and that the city expects a larger crowd for the event, which will coincide with a food truck challenge. He said some park equipment has been delayed in shipping and that not every bench or amenity may be in place for the opening.
To increase accessible parking during the event, Treba said staff will coordinate with NICE to use its parking lot and will block spaces on the square to provide additional handicap parking. He asked the committee to note the event date and raised the likely need for accessibility considerations at the site during the opening.
