House announces committee assignments and reschedules hearings

The Rules Committee meeting that had been set for after session was moved to Monday after session to hear a petition from Representative Towns. Representative Martin of Hamilton was named chairman of the Ag and Natural Resources Subcommittee and Representative Dennett was named vice chairman of the Agricultural and Natural Resources full committee; Representative Pearson was removed from the Transportation Subcommittee.
Leader Lambreth also moved that HB 1250, which had been set for the regular calendar on Feb. 11, be heard on Feb. 12; the motion was entered without objection pursuant to House rule 52. The announcements were procedural and made without floor debate.
