The board approved several operational items during the July 1 meeting, including an extension of First Harrison Bank's cash-management services contract retroactive to Sept. 1, 2024, through Aug. 31, 2026. The board recorded that members agreed the terms from August 2022 were unchanged or improved and voted to extend the contract.
The board also approved a standing order for the administration of naloxone to support emergency response in district facilities and accepted donations: VPS Architecture donated $1,000 for staff appreciation, and Norton Hospitals, Inc., d/b/a Norton Sports Health, provided a $5,000 gift agreement for athletic training. Additional items approved included memoranda of understanding with Ivy Tech and Indiana Wesleyan University for dual-enrollment and educator placements.
