The council approved several appointments and routine measures during the meeting. The mayor moved to appoint Christopher Thompson and Brian Adams to the Economic Development Committee (terms beginning 01/01/2026 with Brian Adams’ term expiring 12/31/2028). The council also appointed Jason Stanford as the mayor’s representative to the Union County CIC board for a term beginning 01/01/2026.
Council approved the final plat for Mayors Reserve (PZ‑25‑7, area C, Phase 4) and moved to release the developer’s performance bond while accepting a maintenance bond for Darby Station Phase 3; the motion to release the performance bond passed with five votes in favor and no recorded nays. Several ordinances and resolutions were approved on second reading or as presented: Ordinance 43‑2025 (appropriations through 12/31/2026) and Ordinance 44‑2025 (codified ordinance replacement pages) were approved, and Resolution 53‑2025 (authorizing sale of village property) passed. The council also waived the second reading and approved Ordinance 47‑2025 (supplemental appropriation to the 2025 budget).
Following the public portion, the council voted to enter executive session pursuant to the cited public‑records code to consider purchase of property for public purposes; no further business was scheduled after the executive session.
