He also questioned a proposal discussed in the plan to place a spray pad near a busy street, saying, “I don’t see how a spray pad... inviting kids to play in water near busy streets doesn’t seem like a good idea.” The commission said it will file its statement through the village’s project portal for the public record.
Mayor and staff urged residents to submit formal comments; Village Administrator Miss Lupton reminded the public that ODOT will accept comments through December 10 as the engineer develops the next concept. The commission’s request is now part of the project record and will be considered as ODOT revises the designs.
