He said invasive plants have spread, encroached on his property and could obstruct stormwater flow, creating a larger and more expensive problem if not addressed. "I am simply asking that the city resume maintaining its proper own property as it did for many years," Young said.
The mayor asked Mr. Jones to contact Mr. Young to discuss a solution and directed staff to review the maintenance decision. No formal vote was taken; the mayor said staff would "figure it out" and follow up with the resident.
