The Mills County board approved a motion to hire Isaac Degansel as an engineering technician at $29.87 per hour. Board members moved and seconded the appointment and the voice vote passed with "Aye" votes.
"Motion made and seconded Isaac Degansel for engineering technician at $29.87 per hour," a board member said during the meeting. Staff described Degansel as having multiple DOT certifications, experience with project closeout and surveying, and said he passed pre-employment screenings. Staff indicated an anticipated start date of August 10 and that the position carries a six-month probationary period.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the appointment at the meeting. Staff said Degansel would also be able to assist with surveying tasks and other department duties as needed.
