Council members moved, seconded and passed the appropriation on voice votes and then suspended the rules to consider second reading the same meeting; the council adopted the appropriation unanimously. The mayor said the purchase will be brought to the board of public works for vendor selection after funds are appropriated. "The funding for this appropriation comes from the River Ridge money that we received," the mayor said.
