Jim Gibson, the state planner who presented the update, said the city has two short plats in final review: a two-lot short plat for Lewis Meyer and a six-lot short plat on Seattle Street. He said preliminary approvals are complete and that "water main is starting on there" and the roadway work has begun, with houses potentially under construction by the end of the year if work continues. "They're finally getting the construction on that one," Gibson said of the Seattle Street project.
Councilors asked for clarifications about the Lewis Meyer parcel, noting a strip of land was deeded to the city to allow a water line to extend from Emerald/Crimson Court. Gibson said staff are working through final conditions before issuing final approvals.
