Student representatives preview Homecoming events, athletics and fall musical

Student School Board Representatives Elle DeBolt and Eleanor Stevenson updated trustees on student events and athletic schedules at Marquette Senior High School. DeBolt invited board members to the Homecoming Assembly on Sept. 26 at 11:10 a.m. and noted the Powder Puff football game on Sept. 22 at 7:00 p.m.; she also described a revised float-building rule allowing a wider range of materials to reduce waste.
Stevenson reported athletic activity—girls varsity tennis vs. Negaunee and varsity football traveling to Saginaw on Sept. 19—and said cross country teams competed at the Spartan Invitational and would attend the Roy Riak Invitational on Sept. 20. She announced the fall musical Hadestown will be performed Nov. 13–15 at Kaufman Auditorium. "The advisory program is currently doing a bracket style competition for naming the MSHS mascot. We are voting in advisory and the name will be revealed at the homecoming assembly," the minutes state.
