Board adopts June 11 Thrun policy update, including Title IX and operational clarifications

The board approved the June 11, 2025 Thrun policy update at the July 21 meeting. The packet of policy changes and the attorney-drafted summaries include multiple technical and compliance-focused amendments: updates to Title IX procedures and coordinator designation, clarifications to data-breach response procedures, the addition of guidance on asbestos abatement contractor vetting, and other cleanups across employment, operations and student policy sections.

Trustees discussed the updates and voted 5-0 to adopt the package. The meeting packet included a memorandum and a redline summary outlining specific line edits and legal citations. Administration indicated the changes reflect recent state and federal rule changes and help align district procedures to current statutory requirements.
