GEI reported that a post-bid addendum produced adjusted pricing to bring the project within allowable budget, and recommended awarding the contract to Premeau Construction in the amount not to exceed $121,152.75. The recommendation included a contingency allowance up to $5,000 for potential changes during construction. GEI also noted MAPS and the Cherry Creek School Association (CCSA) committed to supporting selected minor components (replacement swing set components, donated shade trees and site restoration) that could incur up to $5,500 in additional costs not included in Premeau's contract.
The board approved the award without recorded opposition and asked staff to proceed with contract execution and typical pre-construction steps.
