Board praises Rodgers renovation as construction nears completion

Board President Kurt Ziegler and Superintendent Dr. DiPonio said the renovation of Rodgers Elementary is nearing completion and will be celebrated with a re-dedication ceremony on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Dr. DiPonio told trustees that contractor Barton Malow has brought extra resources and the building "looks great." President Ziegler added, "Rodgers looks amazing!"
Dr. DiPonio also updated trustees on other facility projects, saying construction on the Early Childcare center, the Administration Center and the Community Center "is flying along" and that the district expects an earlier finish than originally scheduled. He said that when North Lake relocates into the current administration center/Northshore space, Taylor and Born will be taken offline, producing a net savings for the district. No specific dollar amounts or a completion timetable beyond the re-dedication date were provided.
