Board approves personnel report; three new hires introduced

The Lake Shore Board of Education approved the Personnel Report on a motion by Board member Amy Thomas-August, seconded by Board member Keneth Gulock; the vote was recorded as Yea: 5, Nay: 0, Absent: 2.
Board members introduced and welcomed new staff: Emily Eschenburg, Alaina Frost and Kelly Feamster. Board President Kurt Ziegler asked whether the district would secure substitutes for teachers on leave; staff member Dr. Lewis described anticipated teacher placements for those positions. Rob Couck, introduced as LSFT President, also was presented to the board during the personnel portion of the meeting.
The board did not take additional action beyond approving the report and formally recognizing the new hires and union representative.
