Board approves curriculum items and classroom technology purchases
Summary
Howell Public Schools approved curriculum recommended by the District Improvement Team and i3 subcommittee, and approved purchase of elementary classroom iPads and replacement of Highlander Way Middle School PA and clock systems; motions passed unanimously.
The board approved Instructional Services items that included district curriculum recommendations and a set of technology and facilities purchases. The curriculum was approved as recommended by the District Improvement Team (March 12, 2025) and the i3 Board Sub‑committee (April 2, 2025) (Exhibit J). The board also authorized purchase of new elementary classroom iPads and approved bids for replacement of Highlander Way Middle School’s public address and clock communication systems after committee review.
Each item was presented under Instructional Services, moved and seconded as noted in the minutes, and approved on roll‑call votes recorded as unanimous (see #2025-049, #2025-050, #2025-051). Detailed specifications and pricing are recorded in Exhibits J and K–L respectively.
