The Grosse Ile Township Schools Board of Education carried a set of routine organizational motions at its Jan. 14, 2025 meeting, approving administrative and procedural designations for the year. The Business Office Consent Grouping — which includes designation of the administrator, bank depository, electronic transfer officer(s), payroll signatory and determination of board meeting fee — was approved by motion; the minutes record the motion as moved by Frank DeMare and supported by Dr. Daniel Murphy with the vote recorded "Ayes all, motion carried."
The board also designated meeting dates for 2025 (motion by Dr. Daniel Murphy, supported by Katie Cihak), appointed the district's attorneys (motion by Katie Cihak, support by Frank DeMare) and approved Board committee assignments (motion by Jeffrey Anderson, support by Katie Cihak). The Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement was listed and processed as part of the organizational items. Each of these motions was recorded as carrying unanimously in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
