City Administrator Matt Wolf presented proposed improvements to the Magee Park mountain bike skills course including a trail spur connecting the single-track trail to the skills course and an extension that would climb and descend the existing hill near the blue trailhead. Trail designer Tim Wegner prepared the preliminary concept. Coulee River Trails requested release of the remaining $8,133 previously allocated by the city for trail improvements; any costs beyond that balance would be paid by Coulee River Trails.
Alderpersons Bailey Ruona and Adam Granquist moved to approve Resolution 41-26, which passed with no negative voice votes. City officials described the partnership with Friends of Freedom Park and the Coulee River Trails Steering Committee under an existing Memorandum of Understanding delineating design, construction and maintenance responsibilities.
