Prescott schedules budget workshops for Sept. 23, Oct. 7

City Administrator Matt Wolf told the council the Finance Committee expects to hold two budget workshops this fall: Sept. 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. to focus on capital projects, wages, personnel benefits and larger expenditures, and Oct. 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. for administration-led departmental budget reviews.
Wolf said the pattern of separating capital/personnel topics (September) from administration reviews (October) has been standard practice for the last three to four years, allowing focused discussion on larger expenditures ahead of departmental line-item review.
