Commissioners approve bond refund, cemetery survey-fee change, unemployment payment and interagency agreement

Assistant planning director Tristan Borkwin presented a set of routine administrative items that the board approved on Aug. 4. The board signed Resolution 2026-50 to release the Ellis Estate Subdivision bond after staff confirmed work was complete.
Borkwin also explained an amendment to the county's surveyor agreement to create a reduced-fee schedule limited to two cemetery plats in the City of Pocatello; commissioners approved the change after staff said the original fee schedule was prohibitively expensive for the city.
County personnel presented a quarterly unemployment bill totaling $770.67 related to several past separations and temporary employees; the board authorized payment as a normal operating expense. Commissioners also approved a public hearing notice for proposed FY27 fee increases to be held Aug. 25 and signed a cooperative law-enforcement agreement with the U.S. Forest Service for sheriff's-office operations.
