County presents results from Community Schools Partnership pilot with high rates of housing instability and improved parent engagement

Presenters described three priority goal areas—restorative school climate, family and community engagement, and integrated student supports—and said early outcomes include a 10% increase in students reporting they feel connected to school, a more than 13% rise in parent workshop attendance and improved contactability via ParentSquare (96%). Partnerships cited included behavioral‑health and substance‑use counseling providers, Allan Hancock College, Santa Barbara City College, and local nonprofits offering legal services and mentoring.
Board members thanked the presenters and staff said CCSPP will be reported annually and coordinated across county partners.
