Superintendent Shannon Knapp told the board that the Performing Arts Center (PAC) recently had a soft opening and that a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned; Knapp also reported that the district received a grant to purchase a piano. She said janitorial services will be reviewed with bids to be taken in June and that the district will replace faucets in its buildings using a grant from Filter First.
Maintenance staff reported plans to install new doors for the PAC and a handicap-accessible door for the high school. Principal Mrs. Carpenter gave an update highlighting positive developments at the high school. The board voted to move future regular meetings to the PAC as part of the communications and scheduling items recorded in the minutes.
