Commissioners approve MOUs with University of Wyoming athletics and Wyoming Livestock Board for law‑enforcement support

The board approved two memoranda of understanding that formalize local law‑enforcement support. Sheriff (S7) described the renewal MOU with the University of Wyoming Athletics as "basically our renewal of our yearly contract" to provide law enforcement services for UW football and basketball seasons with a one‑year term and an option to renew for a second season. The motion to approve the MOU carried on the board floor.
Sheriff (S7) also introduced a new two‑year MOU with the Wyoming Livestock Board for special‑duty overtime and investigative support because the statewide livestock board has only two investigators. The sheriff said the MOU covers training so local officers can conduct investigations independently, supports joint investigations, and provides assistance for special events. The commissioners approved the Livestock Board MOU on motion.
