At a special meeting June 2, 2025, the Montabella Board of Education unanimously approved a motion to expel a student identified in the minutes as "Student C" for 90 days. The motion, made by Erica Vincent and seconded by Scott Parks, passed on a 6-0 vote.
The board set conditions for reinstatement: the student must complete substance-abuse counseling and could return to school in January 2026 if those conditions are satisfied. The motion states that any additional discipline issues after reinstatement would result in an immediate board hearing.
