The board approved the district's course offerings for the 2025-26 school year by motion and vote. The materials provided to trustees and posted in the meeting packet included detailed course reports for elementary schools (Cherry Creek, Graveraet, Sandy Knoll, Superior Hills), Bothwell Middle School, Marquette Senior High School, and alternative programs. The reports list course descriptions, grade ranges, seat capacities and program prerequisites.
Board President Kristen Cambensy entertained the motion to approve the course offerings; the motion passed 6-0. Trustees noted that some career and technical programs (for example, Welding, Automotive, Hospitality & Culinary Arts and the Marquette-Alger Technical Middle College) require separate applications and that students should consult the guidance office about dual-enrollment and Michigan Virtual options.
